For over a century, the South Australian Museum has been deeply involved in and committed to the collection, study, display and interpretation of Indigenous cultures in the Australasian region.

While retaining a strong regional focus upon South Australia, current anthropological research is also being conducted across Central Australia and in northern Queensland.
