Alwyne Vernon De Lorimer Heidenreich was born on 6 October 1900, in Adelaide, South Australia. During his life, Heidenreich worked for the South Australian Railways where he took many photographs documenting his travels on the railway. These included some of the Aboriginal Australian people at the Ooldea and Hermannsburg Missions between 1920 and 1932. The South Australian Museum Archive holds 8 black and white photographic prints.
