South Australian Museum - North Terrace, Adelaide, South Australia 5000

SACE Research Project

Staff at the South Australian Museum support the SACE research project, however the museum has limited resources and museum staff need to maintain many other programs as well, so we have developed a formal process for requesting assistance.

To make the most of the resources available, staff have set aside 2pm – 5pm Wednesday & Thursday of weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8 of each DECD Terms 1–3 to assist students with their projects.

The museum collects, protects and researches aspects of natural history (mainly animals, fossils and minerals) and indigenous cultures (mainly Australian Aboriginal and Pacific Islander).

Information for Students:

classification

Please undertake your own research before you speak with us and do not ask us for information that is readily available from other sources such as libraries or web pages. For example, we would readily answer questions about current museum research, assist you with information about items in our collections or explain how scientists undertake particular types of work. Asking about the state of the River Murray or about the life cycles of various insects would be information that you should find out for yourself.

In order to make the most of the museum staff's time we ask you to book your interview at least a week in advance by emailing the form below to the museum's Education team.
