Undescribed  new species of aquatic invertebrate

This is an undescribed new species of aquatic invertebrate, an amphipod crustacean (similar to a shrimp), collected from underground aquifers underneath the Pilbara desert in Western Australia by Museum researchers Dr Rachael King and Dr Remko Leijs. These amphipods live in secret, completely in the dark, and have no eyes or colour pigment in their bodies.
