This series comprises one black and white (b/w) photograph, probably taken by Ernest E Kramer (see AA 669). The photograph depicts a carving on a tree of a cross, a date 'AD. VI. 1931' [June 1931], and initials, including 'A.F.A' and 'E.E.K.' most probably standing for Aborigines' Friends' Association and Ernest E Kramer respectively. The print is stored unmounted in a binder titled 'AA 1 Aborigines' Friends' Association (AFA) Photographic Prints, Album 3 of 4'.
South Australian Museum archivist Kay L Mead described this series in 1980. In her listing she recorded a caption for this series but the exact source of the caption is not known. The caption has been retained as the 'Series Title'. All place names and proper names from the annotations and caption have been indexed. All of the annotations found on the print have been listed in the 'Details' field of the inventory.
The series was part of Acc. No. 86.
This series contains references to Northern Territory.
