Early Learning

The South Australian Museum has partnered with Raising Literacy Australia and the Little Book Press to provide inspiring learning experiences for our youngest visitors and their families.

A new exciting program for visitors aged under five

The Crocodile Club is a brand new early learning program for the South Australian Museum’s littlest visitors and their families. And it’s free!

This new program has been created to share essential early experiences with nature, science, and literacy with the next generation of young learners under five in mind.

The Crocodile Club draws inspiration from "Shoo, You Crocodile!", a beloved 2020 picture book by Katrina Germein and Tom Jellett. The story follows kids exploring a familiar looking museum filled with natural history, science, and world cultures. Since its publication, the book has been distributed through Raising Literacy Australia's preschool program to thousands of SA families to reading, singing, talking and playing together.

Join for free here to gain access to special offers at the Museum, self-guided tour resources, a subscriber card, and bi-monthly newsletters.
