This series comprises personal correspondence to and from Tindale for the period 1923.
Correspondence within this series reflects Tindale's return to his role of Assistant Entomologist at the South Australian Museum following the 1921-1922 Groote Eylandt (NT) expedition. Correspondence is focused on Tindale's Entomological interests, in particular Lepidoptera and Orthoptera.
Correspondence also describes the Douglas Mawson tropical cyclone, which affected Groote Eylandt (NT) in the Gulf of Carpentaria on 23-25 March 1923, leading to the sinking of the Douglas Mawson and flooding of the Emerald River (NT).
