This series comprises personal correspondence to and from Tindale for the period 1927. Early corresponence refers to Tindale's recent return from his ten week expedition to Princess Charlotte Bay (QLD) and Flinders Island (QLD), accompanied by Herbert Hale (see AA124) from late 1926 to early 1927. Tindale and Hale collected in excess of 600 objects during the expedition of which Tindale highlights the extensive geneological data and hitherto unresearched tribes within his correspondence.
Later correspondence in this series concerns Tindale's annual leave entitlements and remuneration negotiations with the South Australian Museum.
Correspondence has been arranged in chronological order.
