The 35mm mounted color slides comprising this series were acquired by Duguid as part of his continuing interest in Australian Aboriginal welfare. They were copied by the South Australian Museum (SAM) and the originals deposited with the National Library of Australia.
When donated they were controlled by a hand written list and the lising on a number of "subject" envelopes. The obverse/reverse of those envelopes and papers have been photocopied and form part of this series, providing a useful aid to understanding how Duguid managed and used the photos.
The last three sheets (55 slides) were copied for SAM from slides given to Nancy Barnes by Duguid. Some of them may not be duplicated in the main run of the series. These slides have not been inventoried.
