Describes the journey back to Alice Springs and relates the story about Tom and his second hand car dealings, when in a barter deal in return for a car received a hundred telegraph poles, two bull-dogs, two dozen canaries and fifty pigs. Marshal (see AA 206) leaves for Adelaide.
