Also met [Dr] Kirkland who rose to become the Chief [Medical Officer] after Dr [Cecil Evelyn Aufrere] Cook (1897-1985). References the fire at the Darwin railway bulk store whereby no beer available for the inland and describes the antics of Charlie and Tim on their return from Anthony Lagoon.
