Records that Albie Drew had been carting between the Victoria River Depot and VRD during the dry season for eighteen years. The wagons carry over five tons. The charge is at a rate of £6 per ton. Goods come from Darwin by the ‘Maroubra’ steam boat then transported to VRD. Both photographs depict the donkey teams.
