Volume 2

Describes the horsemanship of a young stockman. The cook of the camp was a ‘yellow feller’ a term used for mixed blood described as an excellent plaiter of leather making belts, hat bands and stock-whips. As refuge from the stock camps the author visited the shade and water holes found on the Victoria River.
