1. Photograph 35.2.14: 'A taste of things to come. A few wet patches in the track were found. The track was first made by Terry (See AA 333) driving a truck run at in 1931 (see his Hadolen michs hicting people) – check this wording – since then only 3-4 motor vehicles have been over it. During parts of this trip the going was so bad that the truck was using a gallon of petrol and a gallon on water to the mile.'
