Photo Books, Island Melanesia, 1971

These notebooks (official, pre-printed, SA Museum Film Identification notebooks) are a record of the photographs taken during the "Island Melanesia" expedition. There are two notebooks but they are labelled "Photo Book No. 1" and "Photo Book number 3".
Photo Book number 2 was to be reserved for colour films 34 onwards but aren't in this file.

The information recorded was film number, date, location, film type, exposure time and aperture and description. The photographer's initials for each film roll are also recorded (either "GLP" - Graeme Pretty or "ALC" - Anthony Crawford).

Photo Book 1: Colour film rolls 1 - 30.
These slides have been scanned and are located in the sub-folders under R:\Archives\AA 255 PRETTY, GL\Graeme Pretty - Island Melanesia - 1971\Colour Slides.
There were actually a total of 53 colour film rolls scanned. Hyperlinks to these scanned images are included in the transcribed diaries and notebooks referred to in AA 255/14/21/1-3 and AA 255/14/22/1-7.

Photo Book 3: Black and white film rolls 12 - 13 and 15 - 18.
These slides have been scanned and are located in the sub-folders under R:\Archives\AA 255 PRETTY, GL\Graeme Pretty - Island Melanesia - 1971\Black & White Photos.
