This item consists of a photographic negative on safety film depicting an older woman. An annotation on the plastic sleeve holding the negative indicates the subject of the photograph is an 'old woman at Glenelg'. This indicates the negative is a copy of a photograph that was formerly allocated the South Australian Museum number AP5048. When it was first registered in the South Australian Museum collection, this image was described as a photograph of an older Australian Aboriginal woman taken at Glenelg in 1898. It was donated to the South Australian Museum by WB Sanders on 29 March 1951.
