Annotated map of Mornington Island, Denham Island, Sydney Island and Lingnoonganee Island containing original data from Tindale's 1963 visit. Extensive notes in black pen include place names, personal names and notes on material culture using Aboriginal terminology. A note by Tindale reads: 'Nomenclatorial Data from Lindsey Roughsey and owners of each territory 30 June - 2 July 1963'. Additional names recorded include Peter Roughsey of Doomadgee, Charlie Marmi, Paddy Marmi, Barney Charles, Charlie Adams, 'Scotty's country', 'Gussy's country' and Alma Williams. 'Tribal' and clan names and boundaries are noted in blue and red pencil. Map 338/15/144 is a legible photocopy of this map. See also map 338/15/139.

The base map was prepared by a mining and prospecting company from army aerial photographs. Details show tidal flats and aerial photo points. Scale 1:49,500 (32.5 cm = 10 miles).
