Annotations, possibly by Tindale, include bounded, shaded areas in various pens, e.g. from Port Augusta to Peterborough. Additional notes include illegible pen marks (Lake Torrens area) and 'Districts' labelled 'A' (Adelaide), 'C' (Berri), 'E' (mid-Yorke Peninsula to Bordertown), etc. A hardwood frame was originally attached to map, which is fragile from wear. 'Scale. - Graduated to approx 16 Miles between lines of reference. Intersections diagonally approx 22 1/2 miles apart.'
