Handwritten names and boundary lines in green pen show 'tribal' distribution in northeastern Australia prior to publication of Tindale's 1974 map. Brown pencil lines refer to 'pathway' (see key on map 338/19/4). Tindale's note on reverse reads: 'Tribal names checked [and] list of corrections supplied 16 Apr. 70 NBT.' The base map was produced by Division of National Mapping, Department of National Development, Canberra, ACT, 1967. Scale: 10 cm = 250 km or 16 cm = 250 miles. This map is part of a four-sheet set used by Tindale (maps 338/19/1-4).
