Labels by CP Mountford include: 'Kapi Indiridura', 'Tree growing by side of water' and 'The ancestral dog (Papa) chased the ancestral kangaroo (Malu) to Kapi Indiridura. Here the Kangaroo entered the water to protect himself from the dog The dog bit the kangaroo but the kandaroo escaped and finally went to Bitbit (Minnie Springs). The dog stayed here. Before he came, it was only a clay pan which was filled by the rain. The dog made it into a permanent deep water. The natives are not afraid of this ancestral dog and all drink there.'
