This is the tenth of twelve film titles documenting the Board for Anthropological Research (BAR) Harvard-Adelaide Universities expedition, during 13 May 1938 - 30 June 1939.

This expedition travelled through South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia. This unfinished film was possibly intended to be produced as 'Records of Australian Native Mammals' to be shown in the South Australian Museum's (SAMA) Children's Museum. See: (AA 346/9/13/1). Annotations by NB Tindale (AA 338) on the edge of the film and intertitles produced but not added were used in the making of this summary. See: (AA 346/9/13/8), Time Codes 07:02-07:30. The intertitles were left as originally spelt, however in this film summary only the current common and scientific names have been included. This film has not been digitally transferred.

The cinematographer was NB Tindale with possible involvement from both DM Tindale and BG Birdsell. See: (AA 346/9/13/1).
