Expedition camp at Ooroowilanie

Expedition setting up camp at near the Government dam at Ooroowilanie (Murraloanna). Despite the shelter provided by the sand ridge (visible behind the camp), the camp was cold, windy and unpleasant, all the more so because of a disagreement with James Atkins (cook and assistant) over his foul language, pay, and his continuing with the expedition.
