This item contains two complete sets of contact prints from Charles Kerry & Co., Photographers (see AA 165) of 310 George Street, Sydney, New South Wales. In 1885 Kerry began preparation for an exhibit of Australian Aboriginal portraits and images of ceremonies for the Colonial and Indian Exhibition of 1886. Each set comprises of 10 photographic prints containing 150 photographs of Australian Aboriginal people.

Original titles are within quotation marks. All spelling within intertitles have been left as originally spelt. Language and terms which reflect the author's attitude or that of the period in which the item was produced may be considered inappropriate today in some circumstances.
