Notes: Aitu wears a variety of the ngore (cloak) that incorporates red woollen pompoms, woollen stitching and fringing along its edge. Aitu has a moko (traditional Maori facial tattoo) but is shown in a group portrait in New Zealanders Illustrated, Titled: 'A group at Te Aro Pah', Plate XL, not to have any facial tattoo.
