Ngadlu tampinthi ngadlu Kaurna Miyurna yartangka. Munaintya puru purruna ngadlu-itya. Munaintyanangku yalaka tarrkarriana tuntarri.

We acknowledge we are on Kaurna Miyurna land. The Dreaming is still living. From the past, in the present, into the future, forever.

'Ramari. and her child. Daughter of Haimona. Tuimata.'

Archive Collections / George French Angas / Series AA8/07 / 'Ramari. and her child. Daughter of Haimona. Tuimata.'

Original Watercolour
There is one original watercolour within this frame.

Notes: On Angas's journey he was hosted by Chief Haimona (Simon), his wife and daughter Ramari. Ramari stands holding an infant in her arms. Her lips are tattooed and has markings on her face. Worn like a cloak, Ramari is wrapped in a European blanket. Behind is a whare (house) and stakes from a fortified fence. Two women sit on the gound. One of these women with her back turned is wearing a korowai-ngore (cloak) with black twisted thrumbs and the other a korowai-ngore with the addition of red and blue woollen pompoms and red stitching.
