Notes: Te Uepehi stands in front of a river wearing a European blanket and leaning against fence railing. Noted by Angas as the father of Te Pakaru principal Ngati Maniapoto chief of Kawhia. He has a very distinctive lump on the left side of his forehead which features tattooed lines as part of a full moko (traditional Maori facial tattoo).
