Notes: The Rangatira (chief) Te Ngohi (Huatari) is seated wearing a European blanket like a cloak and has a moko (traditional Maori facial tattoo). He wears a shark's tooth in his right ear and a piglet sits on his left side. Ngohi's (Huatari) wife Ngamihi is dressed in a korowai-ngore (cloak) that features black twisted thrumbs on its surface and fringing with the addition of red, blue and yellow woollen pompoms. She has a tuft of white feathers in her right ear, tattooed lips and markings on her face.
