Ngadlu tampinthi ngadlu Kaurna Miyurna yartangka. Munaintya puru purruna ngadlu-itya. Munaintyanangku yalaka tarrkarriana tuntarri.

We acknowledge we are on Kaurna Miyurna land. The Dreaming is still living. From the past, in the present, into the future, forever.

'Taupo "N. Zealand"'

Original Watercolour
There is one original watercolour within this frame.

Notes: The house in Taupo is stained with kokowai (red ochre). The rafters in the porch have been painted in red and white with the symbolic patterns known as kowhaiwhai, and the black and white on the back rafter board referred to as the heketipi. Tukutuku (lattice work) panels in red and black bands adorn the inside porch which is shared by two seated occupants. The female is wearing a pake (rain cape) and the older man wears a korowai-ngore (cloak) and huia feathers in his hair. A European blanket is draped over the paepae, the beam that runs the length of the threshold. The only carving is the tekoteko seen at the apex of the front of the house which has also been ornamented with feathers. In the foreground of the image are two wooden kumete (bowls) and flax kete (basket).
