There is one original watercolour within this frame.
Notes: This group are tribally affiliated to Ngati Haua from the Hauraki and Matamata plains district. Hori stands at the back left wearing a blanket worn like a cloak and a greenstone (nephrite jade) ear pendant. In the front seated Te Kauwai wears a korowai-ngore (cloak) made with black twisted thrumbs and red woollen pompoms. Te Waihaki stands back centre partially tattooed in a kaitaka-ngore, a finely woven cloak which features a chevron patterned taniko boarder with red and blue woollen pompoms. Pihaiti stands in bare feet on the right wearing a red shirt and a korowai-ngore (cloak) with black twisted thrumbs and fringing over top. Endorsed with each person's signature.
