This item is an x-ray image (measuring 25x19.9 cm) of a scaphocephalic human cranium. The image was published in Fenner, F (1938) 'Some Australian Aboriginal Scaphocephalic Skulls', in Records of the South Australian Museum, Vol. 6, No. 2, pp. 143-158. The skull depicted in the image is specimen A248, a cranium found near Wellington in South Australia which was once part of the South Australian Museum collection. The x-ray image was prepared with the assistance of Mr CH Marshall of the Adelaide Hospital.
