Continuation of the story from page 126 (AA122/3/2/39) about a fight between a snake, bandicoot and fox terrier. Accompanies Mr [Alf] Martin to Pigeon Hole to inspect cattle which were to go to the Government Meat Works at Wyndham. Details the droving and meat work costs and returns to the pastoralist. Further records the number of head of cattle at Victoria River Downs (NT), describes their brand known as the Bull’s Head taken from the sign of Taurus and records the staffing hierarchy of the five stock camps operated by VRD. Author recalls a tense moment meeting a stockman while at Wave Hill (NT) see page 128 (AA122/3/2/41).
