Travel on to Moolooloo (NT), an outstation of VRD (NT). Car broke down with carburetter and back springs trouble. Worked on repairs overnight. Arrive Victoria River Downs (NT) for breakfast. Author collected the remainder of his belongings and farewelled the Sisters at the hostel. References Sister MacKenzie now recovered from malignant tertian malaria. Depart VRD (NT) at 1.30pm crossing the Victoria River (NT) at ‘Winyard Crossing’ (NT) and recalls it was at this crossing that the Fizzer (Henry Ventlia Peckham) (1872-1911), a mailman, accidently drowned and a character in the book ‘We of the Never Never’ by Mrs Aeneas (Jeannie) Gunn (1870-1961).
