After finding safe haven in Carnarvon, Father [Francis Xavier] Gz[s]ell (1872-1962) engages a master mariner from Fremantle (WA) to sail the St Francis from Carnarvon (WA) to Bathurst (NT). Relates the story of Alfonso (Manilaman) and the reason for his leaving the island due to the accidental shooting of an Australian Aboriginal person [Tiwi]. Arrive at the Bathurst Island Mission.
