A second note refers to annotations 'In purple ink obtained at Laverton [Western Australia] during Harvard-Adelaide Expedition 1939'. Additional notes in black pen refer to the 1934 Ooldea Expedition. Corrections and place names were noted later in pencil. Scale 1 inch = 10 miles (1 inch = 800 chains).
