Location: Western side of Thomson River and Cooper Creek, from Jundah to near Gilpeppee; east to Keeroongooloo and Canaway Range; west to Whitula Creek. Some men call themselves Biria but they must not be confused with Biria of Bowen River. Breen has heard the name as Biria (with a rolled r). They practiced circumcision as an initiatory rite.
