Location: Whitsunday Island; ranging over Cumberland Islands; also to mainland at Cape Conway and on mountains east of Proserpine. Sewn ironbark canoes, called ['winta], were used for journeying between the islands-all reefs between St. Bees and Hayman Islands were known intimately and searched for food.
