'World Aeronautical Chart', 1965, fourth edition. Handwritten names and boundary lines show 'tribal' distribution along northern coast of Western Australia and Northern Territory, including Joseph Bonaparte Gulf and Van Diemen Gulf. Tindale lists 18 small 'tribes' from Cape Hay northeast to beyond Point Blaze, Northern Territory, with a key to the numbered areas. A sheet of paper glued over the original key contains a revised list (original list is visible). Extensive changes made in white correction fluid.
Margin notes refer to areas of 'circumcision' and 'subincision'. Several place names are circled in pencil and a note in black pen at bottom reads: 'Original After Stanner 1970 ms revisions roughed on it' [William Edward Hanley Stanner].
