Glass slides (some of which have been tinted or coloured) removed from the 'red boxes' used by the donor. They are arranged generally by geographical location and each categegory is seperated from the next by a 'slide envelope' which is annotated with the location or some descriptive comment. Annotations are in quotations.

Selected slides were used to illustrate Bolam's book 'The Trans Australia Wonderland' printed in 1927. Some indication is given in the inventory linking set of slides to a particular illustration in the book.
