'World Aeronautical Chart', 1960, second edition. Handwritten names and boundary lines show 'tribal' distribution in central border region of Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Includes Balgo Hill, Lake Mackay, Yuendumu, Mount Liebig and Haasts Bluff. Notes at bottom read: 'from aboriginal sources' and 'This map was loaned to Jeremy [Long?] 1963 for his visit west. Names in caps [are] ones he pencilled in - I inked them over NBT.' Also noted by Tindale are sources of water and 'site of 1961 Exped to C. Aust.' (northeast of Yuendumu).
A margin note refers to two Western Australia maps from the 1953 'UCLA Expedition': 'some data transferred from old [aerial/topographic] series maps. G5 Mt Squires F4 Tanami' (See series 338/15). The left margin contains a reference in pencil to 'Ildawongga published by NBT[indale]. 1964'.
